The part you never see
is the part that makes it safe.
That is one of ours, photographed mid‑tile. A walk-in shower asks more of the parts nobody photographs. Drop the threshold and there is no curb left to hold water back, so the pre‑slope under the pan has to carry it and the waterproofing membrane has to be continuous, which is why we flood test before a single tile goes down. Put grab bars in and they need real blocking set behind the wall before the tile, or they pull straight out of the board the first time someone leans on them. Get that layer right and the tile is the easy part.
